We have over 30 years’ experience of advising Ralli clients about driving and other motoring related issues.

Our solicitors act for individual clients and also on behalf of insurance companies. The regulations are constantly being tightened up as soon as gaps in the legislation become public, so we keep our 'loopholes' to ourselves. For example, there is a major stretch of road in the North West of England which has been incorrectly signed and therefore we have had summonses issued against our clients dismissed. No we are not going to reveal the location!

We provide representation before both the magistrates and Crown Courts in respect of motoring offences such as dangerous driving, causing death by dangerous driving, drink-driving (driving with excess alcohol in breath, blood or urine), failing to provide a specimen, using a false instrument or license, disqualified driving and speeding. We have particular expertise in cases where a sample has not been provided for medical reasons, or where a breathalyser, speed gun or camera can be shown not to have been operated properly. From a police chase leading to charges for a number of serious offences, to a contravention of a traffic signal or road markings, we can provide expert defence advice across the range of motoring offences.

It is often of paramount importance that you keep your licence for work, or to enable you to care for relatives, as to lose it would cause you exceptional hardship. We can advise you and in certain circumstances argue against endorsement of points on your licence, or against disqualification (either for a single offence or under the totting-up procedure).

Public funding is still available for more serious driving offences, also depending on a financial assessment of your income. We specialise in defending other motoring offences on a private basis where the Court will not grant a Representation Order, but can apply to recover the costs of your defence from Central Funds when successful.
