Claire Holland
Personal Injury Solicitor
My Job Title: Solicitor
Admitted as a solicitor: 1993
Professional Qualifications: LLB Hons
What do I do at work?
I represent a wide range of clients who have suffered injuries as a result of accidents at work on the highway, on private premises and as a result of criminal assaults.
What have I done?
Soon after qualification I had a career break during which time my children now aged 14 and 15 were born. I returned to work in1999 for a firm in east Lancashire specialising in personal Injury.
For many years I was a member of the local law association culminating in me being President from 2008 -2010. I am also an LCO for the legal complaint service. This work involves meeting members of the public who have complained about their solicitor in an attempt to assess if the complaint has merit and if so try to negotiate a satisfactory out come to the complaint.
What do I like?
I like cycling walking and running and have entered several 10k runs to raise money for various charities. I also like travelling and in March this I combined walking and travelling by completing a 150 km trek up and down Volcano's in Guatemala to raise money to build and fund a school for street kids.
