JONES v NETHERHALL RIDING SCHOOL (2008)
The claimant, a 46-year-old woman, received £5,050 for the injuries to her thigh sustained when she was bitten by a horse during a horse riding lesson in October 2005. She suffered from swelling and bruising but within one year had recovered by approximately 60 per cent.
JACKSON v LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (2007)
The claimant, a 50-year-old woman, received £5,100 for the ankle injury sustained in April 2005. She required care and assistance and found it difficult to walk without support.
DAMIEN TINSLEY v JAIDIP SARKAR (2005)
The claimant sought quantification of personal injury damages after a road traffic accident involving the defendant. The claimant had a history of childhood abuse, alcohol dependance, drug misuse and psychological problems and, after the accident at the age of 28, underwent surgery for acute subdural haematoma.
