What do I do at work?
I specialise in dealing with personal injury cases and have a particular interest in Catastrophic injury, Acquired Brain Injury and Psychiatric Damage. I am passionate about my clients' work.
What have I done?
I attained a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Law with Psychology, and the LPC with a commendation. I have specialised in personal injury law since 1996. I was promoted to the position of Associate at Ralli in 2002 and became a Partner in 2004.
I am a Member of The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM), the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) and I have completed the Spinal Injuries Association Advanced Solicitors Training Course.
I was involved in the notable Court of Appeal case of Tinsley -v- Sarkar and my largest settlement to date is £3.9 million.
I have also undertaken some Mental Health Law and Judicial Review work.
I recently represented a claimant who was awarded a seven figure sum after his CICB claim for post-traumatic stress disorder following the Deal bombing was successfully re-opened after originally being awarded only £17,500.
I was chosen to be Lawyer of the Week in the Times in February 2006. The newspaper approached me when they discovered I was representing a rape victim, whose attacker was identified by his DNA, 16 years after the assault. I applied to have the CICB case re-opened after my client made an original application without legal advice and was awarded a paltry sum.
What do I like?
I enjoy cycling and have participated for the last 3 years in the Manchester to Blackpool Bike Ride raising funds for BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Charity) which is the firm's nominated charity.
I love going to concerts, socialising/networking with friends/colleagues, travelling, ski-ing, scuba diving and yoga.
