What do I do at work?
I deal with personal injury compensation claims for my clients on a day to day basis, including employer's liability and occupier's liability matters, public liability/highway tripping claims and some RTA and CICA matters. I have a special interest in employer's liability matters. I attend court hearings on behalf of my clients as and when necessary.
What have I done?
After qualifying as a barrister and being called to the Bar in 2000, I worked within the legal profession for two years before taking the Qualified Lawyer's Transfer Test in order to qualify as a solicitor. I enjoy the greater client contact which the solicitor's profession offers and the ability to deal with clients' claims throughout, from commencement to conclusion. On 1st July 2010 I became an Associate of the firm.
What do I like?
I particularly enjoy travelling, having spent much of 2005 and 2006 travelling across South-East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and the States. I enjoy many outdoor activities including camping, trekking, water sports and snowboarding. I also enjoy socialising, music and good food (and good wine).
