My Job Title: Solicitor

Date I Joined Ralli: June 2009

Admitted as a solicitor: 1998

Professional Qualifications:  LLB(HONS), Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC)

What do I do at work?

I specialise in Claimant only Personal Injury work. I have since the start of my career acted on behalf of Claimants as I am passionate about securing the best possible settlements that I can for my clients, following what is quite often a traumatic accident causing distressing injuries. This can lead to financial difficulties if time is taken off work resulting in loss of earnings and other expenses. I always seek to recover such losses within the claim I am instructed to pursue.

What have I done?

After obtaining my law degree, I completed my LPC at the  College of Law, Chester. I then commenced my training with a Liverpool based law firm which I had joined in 1995. After qualifying as a Solicitor at this firm, I was promoted to Associate Solicitor. I subsequently moved to the Greater Manchester area and joined another law firm where I again undertook a variety of personal injury work such as road traffic accidents, accidents or even assaults during the course of employment, injuries as a result of crimes of violence, dog bite cases, tripping and slipping accidents, untraced and uninsured driver accidents and many more.

What do I like?

I enjoy socialising with friends whether via work functions or otherwise. I love to travel and one of my most memorable trips was to the West Indies to watch cricket of all things, although I have to admit it was thoroughly enjoyable. I enjoy  music, theatre and comedy shows, cinema and reading.

I am a member of the NSPCC/Childline North West Team and have successfully completed  my training to become a Volunteer Counsellor for Childline. I currently provide counselling to young people one evening a week and find this extremely rewarding although somtimes it can be emotionally challenging. I would like to do further fundraising work with the NSPCC in future.
