What do I do at work?

My role is to provide high standard and efficient employment law advice to all clients, and I have a broad range of employment law experience, spanning both contentious and non contentious employment work. I have advised claimants and respondents in connection with employment tribunal cases involving claims for unfair dismissal and discrimination. In addition to tribunal work, I also review and draft contracts of employment, policies and procedures, consultancy agreements and compromise agreements. I also advise companies on how to protect their interests through effective use of covenants.  I provide the best service possible by listening to my client's goals and then being honest and realistic from the outset.

What have I done?

I have taken part in several half marathons including the Great North Run, and I completed my first full marathon in 2006, and more recently ran the Flora London Marathon in 2008.

I completed a ski season in Courchevel 1850 on my gap year, which was so much fun, had the likes of Boris Johnson and the model Caprice staying in my chalet. Never a dull moment! Although actually, cleaning 9 toilets every day for 5 months wasn't that much fun…

I have a keen interest in politics, and a highlight was taking part in a debate with Dr David Starkey on Question Time – what's more – he agreed with the argument I put forward, and I got a round of applause!!

What do I like?

Traveling! Skiing! Skiing! Skiing! I love holidays that are different, favorites have included cycling from Lake Garda to Venice (self guided – quite tricky when your Italian constitutes a mixture of French and Spanish!). Greek Island Hopping has been another highlight and sailing around the south coast of England in a force 8 gale, having never before stepped foot on a yacht! I love doing new things and experiencing the unknown!

I also like cooking and entertaining, interesting wines and most importantly good banter.

Does the gym count? Pretty sure I'm still a member of the original Take That fan club too.
