What do I do at work?
I deal solely with personal injury representing injured claimants only. I am particularly interested in claims of maximum severity, namely catastrophic injury and acquired brain injury. I handle a very broad range of personal injury matters. I tend to enjoy challenging cases whatever their value. I have some managerial responsibilities and supervise a team of other solicitors.
What have I done?
I hold a 2:1(hons) Law Degree and a Diploma in Law from The University of Sheffield.
I decided to specialise in Claimant Personal Injury Law from the very outset in 1996.
The most press worthy case I have dealt with is Donachie -v– GMP which went to the Court of Appeal. We were successful for Mr Donachie which was a very rewarding experience.
My largest settlement to date is £2.85 million where unfortunately the claimant suffered brain injury and other multiple life threatening injuries.
What do I like?
I love running, having done various half and full marathons including the London Marathon and the Great North Run a number of times for various charities including our nominated Charity BASIC.
I enjoy sport generally, tennis, skiing, walking and horse riding.
Memberships
I am a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, College of Personal Injury Lawyers and Spinal Injuries Association (APIL/ CPIL/SIA).
