What do I do at work?

I have worked at Ralli for almost 5 years

I work as part of the Business & Property Dispute Resolution Team assisting our business clients resolve disputes and achieve their objectives. In addition to general commercial disputes I specialise in:

Professional Negligence Claims on behalf of our Business and Private Clients;
Property and Construction Disputes on behalf of our Business and Private Clients;
Boundary Disputes on behalf of our Business and Private Clients

What have I done?

Professional Negligence Claims

I have been handling Professional Negligence Claims for 9 years

I have dealt with many claims but one of the most challenging and satisfying involved a claim against a firm of solicitors relating to an action which dated back to 1989, involved 2 firms of solicitors, a barrister, the Court of Appeal and the Fatal Accident Act. It was a complicated matter but we achieved an excellent result for the Clients and restored their faith in the profession.

I have brought professional negligence claims against Solicitors, Barristers, Accountants, Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Valuers and Motor Mechanical Professionals.

Property Disputes

I have dealt with disputes involving Commercial Leases including Dilapidations, Lease Renewal/Termination, Breach of Covenant and Forfeiture.

I have also dealt with disputes involving land and property particular in relation to Nuisance and Property Damage.

Construction Disputes

I have been involved in a number of high value cases. In particular a successful Arbitration for a Housing Association against a quantity surveyor. I act for a number of building companies and International Companies to resolve construction disputes via court action, arbitration, adjudication or mediation. I have recently settled a case for an Engineering Company in dispute with an Australian Company developing a Copper Mines in North Africa.

Boundary Disputes

I have acted on many successful cases. Boundary disputes are often difficult and therefore I advise Clients to consider using methods outside Court proceedings to resolve the dispute such as obtaining a binding determination from a Surveyor or instructing a Mediator.

Outside of work

After an eventful 10 months travelling around the world, including breaking down in the outback, going on a helihike (landing on a Glacier by helicopter, clipping into your crampons and going on a hike) on the Franz Joseph Glacier in New Zealand and swimming with dolphins off the coast of New Zealand, I reluctantly returned to the UK to finish my studies.

I am now settled down with three headstrong girls, my Wife and 2 daughters

What do I like?

Competition, winning, spending time with my family, playing squash and golf (when I get the opportunity). I also enjoy travelling and socialising with friends over a good meal and wine.
