What do I do at work?

Since moving over to the Personal Injury Department last May, my job role has completely changed.

I am a member of the tripping team which involves instructing agents to attend the locus, sending out the letter of claim to the tp and letters to potential witnesses, assist in adding new matters, take care/witness statements, preparing application notices for pre action disclosure, draft letters, file notes, telephone notes, liaise with clients/tps, schedules of special damages, attending various in-house seminars, attending telephone conferences with counsel with the fee earner for observation purposes, carrying out case law research, saving/sending pi journal updates to JR for distribution.

What have I done?

Going to college when I was 40 to study the ILEX was a big achievement for me, standing on a stage in front of family, friends and strangers doing panto for the Rainbow Trust Charity is another and running the 10k a couple of times for charity. May be doing the Manchester 10K again this year.

What do I like?

I like walking in the countryside, going to nice sunny places, singing and dancing, going to the gym and I still like cold fruit and nut chocolate, catherine wheel liquorice with the sweet in the middle and crumpets with marmite on (my boyfriend thinks I am greedy because I don't share AND!). My kids are okay too when they are not asking me for money!
