SOLICITORS have swapped the court room for the cycle path to raise vital funds for a North West based charity.
Victoria Johnson and James Reilly, from Manchester law firm Ralli, completed the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride and raised £1,040 for the Brain and Spinal Injury Centre (BASIC).
BASIC is a specialist resource for people and their families who need support following a traumatic brain injury or neurological diagnosis.
Victoria and James, who were joined by Sarah Houghton and Tracey Shepherd, completed the 62-mile route in about six and a half hours.
Ralli partner Victoria said: "The last ten miles were in a head wind which slowed us down. That's our excuse anyway.
"We are proud of our achievements. It was a great experience and all the aching and tiredness was worth it to raise money for BASIC.
"Knowing we have made a difference to families who are going through such a traumatic experience made all the aching and tiredness worthwhile.
"It was a great experience."
