How can we help?

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Ralli we are aware that we do not exist in isolation.  We are aware of the communities we live and work amongst and the wider environment. We recycle our waste paper and aim to minimise the amount of paper we use by use of advanced IT systems. We endeavour to reduce electricity use by switching off all appliances including standbys.  We know that we have more to do.

We support local charities, such as BASIC(Brain and Spinal Injuries Charity based in Manchester).   In recent years the partners have made generous Gift Aid donations to national and local charities such as Francis House Childrens Hospice.

We encourage and support our staff to get involved in charitable activities.  In the past few years our people have run, swam, walked, climbed, rowed and dressed up for a range of local organisations.

Old Trafford Abseil

Saturday 20th September saw Ralli team members reach for new heights after completing an impressive 140ft abseil to raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Shahina Sakeria, Lorraine Kelsey and Geeta Tamber faced their fears to abseil from the North Stand of Manchester United’s Old Trafford Stadium.

In the company of celebrity boxers Steve Bell and Jamie Moore, as well as The Bill’s Ciaran Griffiths, they braced themselves for the drop and raised more than £500 for charity as a result.

Commenting on the event, Shahina said: “I was determined to push the boundaries of my comfort zone and signed the girls up to take part for some moral support.

“We all have a fear of heights so it was a real challenge both mentally and physically.”

Added Geeta: “We’re thrilled to have overcome our fears, it was a major adrenalin rush to achieve our goal and raise funds for such a worthy cause.”

3 Peaks Challenge

3 Peaks 2

New Client Coordinator Debra Kirwan and PR & Marketing Manager Gillian Nuttall recently tackled the 3 peaks challenge, climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales. These are Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon respectively.

Gillian was initially not set to take part in the walk but soon took on Snowdon, as well as helping drive the team to each destination.

As a team they raised just over £1,000. Every penny raised goes directly to the Malignant Melanoma Research Fund at the Christie Hospital.

Managing Partner Martin Coyne said, "We are very pleased and proud to be able to support Gill and Debra and the efforts they are making for Dr Lorigan and his team. This is such a worthwhile cause and Ralli are in full support of Factor 50"

Following the tragic death of Jon Herron to Malignant Melanoma, close friend Gillian Nuttall became determined in her efforts to help others with the disease and took over Dr Paul Lorigan's Malignant Melanoma Research Fund, renaming it Factor 50.

The fundraising group raises awareness of the importance of skin care and protection from the sun; and in addition raising much needed funds to bring a trial to the UK, currently only available in the USA.

Dr Lorigan, Lecturer in Medical Oncology at the Christie Hospital believes that such a trial can help develop and evaluate new treatments for the benefit of all patients with Melanoma.
